Panicos Spanos is a sculptor whose primary medium is metal—a material he began exploring from a young age and has since developed into a distinctive artistic language. Rooted in traditional sculpting techniques and anatomical precision, his practice focuses on the expressive potential of form, scale, and materiality.

Spanos’s work often features large-scale figures that engage with themes of fragmentation and movement. He contrasts the dense physicality of metal with the emotional nuance of his subjects, creating a tension that evokes both strength and vulnerability.

Incorporating elements such as sound, lighting, and at times even mechanical movement, Spanos extends the boundaries of traditional sculpture to offer multisensory experiences. His work is driven by a fascination with the cosmos and the universal laws that govern existence, as well as an enduring interest in bringing historical narratives into dialogue with present-day realities.

Spanos accepts both public and private commissions. His sculptures are held in collections across Poland, Germany, the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Russia, Cyprus, and Greece.
